"Collage ist the twentieth century's greatest innovation." Robert Motherwell

My work is an expressions of both - my artistic and analytical mind. I has a signature look - spherical, figures, random and bold at times or fragile and delicate depending on technique and mood, emerge with expressions of Serenity, rhythm and movement. Every piece is a small universe of its own, a glimpse of a moment, objects from daily life made eternal for the viewers eye and imagination. I was born and grew up in Berlin, Germany, and was interested in art since early childhood. When the time came to decide on a career path, however, I choose the "secure" path and followed another strong interest – science - and studied Information Technology in my native Germany. Working as a process engineer I soon felt something is missing and it was then when I realized being an artist is a necessity rather a decision. Shortly after, I changed my life, continents and careerpath and moved to Atlanta, U.S. to pursue my artistic ambitions by studying at the Art Institute of Atlanta. At this point I started to become a conscious artist.

What fascinates me in creating art is to be able to combine the two areas that I am equally drawn to - science and art. The fact that science can be beautiful and art can be created using scientific aspects is a never ending, inspiring process to me. I explore a variety of media like Acrylics, Aquarelle, Monotypes and Pencils as well as Encaustic that are applied to paper or self prepared Mixed Media surfaces on either Canvas, Paper or board. In creating my collage materials I explore a vast variety of techniques such as monotype, digital means, painting techniques. Material consists of a variety of items such as found objects, Papers, salvaged materials, Fabrics and day-to-day items. My work resides in private collections throughout Europe and the United States and garnered prizes in exhibition".
