"In my collages I combine my computer science and art background by exploring the theme of graph theory and geometrical objects. Every piece evolves out of a graph or a combination of them, applied either by drawing technique or using acrylic and oils. Collage patterns adhere to graph theory attributes like adjacencies, edges, vertex, node constellation and degrees and so evolve, step by step, often hundreds of layered pieces of recycled fabric, paper, metal and found objects to one, final piece. My abstract work has a signature look - spherical, figures, random and bold at times or fragile and delicate depending on technique and mood, emerge with expressions of Serenity, rhythm and movement. Every [iece is a small universe of its own, a glimpse of a moment, objects from daily life made eternal for the viewers eye and imagination.
"My photomontages are an expression of a free form spirit as well as my analytical mind by exploring a conceptual approach. Contrary to my Abstract Collage series my photomontages are a transformation of abstract work by incorporating representational objects and therefore relying an explicit message to the viewer. This series combines self shot photography, that I digitally alter using an extensive professional IT background, with abstract collage elements such as motives from daily life, often city related themes or features of the human body. Work in this series expresses my fascination of transforming to everyday life as well as social themes to the most abstract level with an often humorous or provocative approach. "
